N. ampullaria x aristolochioides – selected speckled clone: BE-3658

There were many different forms and colourations arising from the grex of seeds that gave rise to this item. After several years of careful selection, we selected just two, for their distinctive colourations and also for their vigour. One clone is all red and is sometimes available under BE-3758 and this clone, which is interestingly speckled.

As it’s a lowland-highland cross we classify it as an intermediate grower, which means it will be happy in a wide range of temperatures making it an easy tolerant grower. 

History:  First introduced in April 2015. 

Origin: Horticultural, bred by Borneo Exotics. The female parent is a selected clone of Nepenthes ampullaria ‘Brunei Red’ (clone CR-1) otherwise known as ‘Williams Red’ and formerly sold under BE-3009. The male parent is our best selected form of Nepenthes aristolochioides.

Climate: 'Intermediate', which means it will flourish in a wide range of temperatures. We have tested it from 12 - 32 deg. C (54 - 90 deg. F), although it will tolerate temperatures outside this range.
